Van der Meulen Master Bakers wins National Export Manager Award

After an exciting finale, Johan Bruinsma of Van der Meulen De Meesterbakkers Hallum was elected best export manager of the Netherlands. Bruinsma, commercial director and responsible for all export activities at Van der Meulen, thereby won the National Export Manager Award 2016.

With Melba toast, rye bread, rusk and the bread crisps “Say Yes to No” Van der Meulen De Meesterbakkers is not only successful on the Dutch market, but also in 45 exporting countries, right up to the United States and Canada. It is also partly Bruinsma’s merit that Van der Meulen managed to penetrate the international market with earlier mentioned categories of products. The commercial director, employed by the company since 2009, proudly states: “It’s pretty special to win this export award as an employee of a Frisian family business. I am sincerely honored and remain enthusiastically committed to all the activities of our wonderful company. ”

EVO Fenedex – the largest export network in the Netherlands – ExportSelect, DHL, ING and the RFO presented the award at the National Export Event in Nieuwegein. With the election of the export manager of the year the organizations wish to raise awareness for the individual qualities of the export manager, which would ensure sustainable success in foreign markets. This refers to the person who is (partly) responsible for the strategic design and managing of a successful export policy.
